Elite 4 is the 40th level in Pokemon Tower Defense.
Description[]
Spolier alert! The hidden info may spoil your fun of playing.
You arrive at the Indigo Plateau, north of Route 23, where you meet the Elite 4: Lorelei, Koga, Bruno and Lance, standing outside the door. You see Koga and try to talk to him about combining forces, however, he and all of the Elite 4 are controlled by Mewthree, who is waiting in the champion's room for you. After talking to Koga and being shocked that the Elite 4 are controlled by Mewthree, Lance introduces himself and tells you that to fight Mewthree and Ash, you must battle all of them in a row. Instead of giving your support however, he tells you to "Just go home and give up!" and recites Mewthree's dream, "Pokémon will roam the land without humans getting in the way." You get annoyed over this, and after Lance's speech, the battle with the Elite 4 begins!

Black Screen[]
The Black Screen glitch is caused when you defeat Lance. Due to many complaints, Sam fixed the bug. In the Pokémon Center, click Elite 4 Black Screen fix. When you defeat Lance, the black screen won't appear and freeze your game, therefore, the champion level will be unlocked. But due to this fix, you can just skip the Elite 4 if you think it's too hard, and the champion level is easy.
Trivia[]
- When this level was originally released, defeating Lance would sometimes result in a black screen that froze the game, preventing completion of the level.
- Although Koga was not in the original Elite 4, he has taken Agatha's spot in PTD 1.
- Originally, there was a bug which made your HP go really high, so the challenge was not letting the Elite Four pass, as they would also fail hitting you hard enough. Those who managed to beat the level in time had extreme ease with most of them, except Lorelei (the bug didn't work on her level and Slippery Floor makes it a challenge anyway).
- If you go to the Pokémon Center and click on the bug fix button before you enter it, it will work for going to the champion (without even doing the Elite 4 level).
- This level has the most spots for placing Pokémon down on in PTD 1.
